Which Low-Carb Diet And Health Blogs And Web Sites Does Jimmy Moore Regularly Read?

My Top 30 best low-carb blogs and web sites on the Internet

Last weekend when I got away for a few days to attend my 20-year high school reunion in Florida, I posted this column featuring 24 brand new low-carb diet and health blogs that have caught my eye as of late as has become my tradition to do prior to leaving town. New low-carb information web sites are continually being formed each and every day and I’m all too eager to share them with my readers so they can be exposed to new voices of support and encouragement about livin’ la vida low-carb. Feel free to share YOURS or one that you think should be highlighted here in a future blog post by e-mailing me the URL anytime at livinlowcarbman@charter.net.

When I returned home earlier this week from my Florida trip, I received the following e-mail from a reader who was curious about the low-carb diet and health blogs and web sites that I like to visit regularly. Here’s what he wrote:

You recently posted several blogs that we can check out. For someone that doesn’t have time to keep up with all of the low-carb blogs, can you recommend the web sites or blogs that are great for inspiration and information for my low-carb lifestyle? Which one’s do you visit on a regular basis?

Oh, this is so gonna get me in trouble because I KNOW already I’m gonna leave some good people who do a wonderful job of low-carb blogging out. • Clair Nielson

High on my list is “Diabetes Update” by Jenny Ruhl.

  • Bill Berggren

Thanks for the links I love them. The Gary Taubes interview from the 3rd link down is wonderful. A very easy way to do research. 1. Only do research where you think it will help the occupants. 2. Select a City/Prison/County that can geographically isolated. 3. Pass an ordiance to ban a substance decremental to their health for 1 – 3 years. 4. Use the data from local doctors. Thus you might ban sugar and corn syrup in Tonopah Nevada. Very easy way to do research.

    Hi there,

Thanks for letting me squeak in at #30! My blog has been successful beyond my wildest dreams, and I’m now retired from teaching and going to become a full-time blogger. Still doing South Beach and have managed to stay the same weight all this time. Hope you are doing well.

LOL! Kalyn, you didn’t “squeak in” my friend. These 30 were in no particular order and I couldn’t NOT list one of the very first low-carb bloggers I met when I started this blog in April 2005. You’ve done an AMAZING job and I wish you well in your new career as a full-time blogger. WOO HOO! :)

I see you got your blog added to lowcarbism.com

THANKS JD! Whoever added it there, I appreciate it. :)

Whatever happened to Low Carb Luxury? That was such an awesome site, especially Lora’s panel of reviewers for low carb products. I really miss that site….

    Hey Deana,

I’ve blogged about this a couple of years ago:

    http://livinlavidalowcarb.com/blog/?p=1801
    http://livinlavidalowcarb.com/blog/?p=1816
    http://livinlavidalowcarb.com/blog/?p=1849

Unfortunately, my interview with “Low-Carb Luxury” founder Lora Ruffner was supposed to happen a couple of weeks after I met with her in Greenville, SC in the summer of 2007, but something tragic happened in her family that she has not fully recovered from yet. You might want to read this post from my menus blog this week for some more about Lora’s story.
