Might make them think!

Sue, I would say “nah, I’m diabetic, and that’s the stuff that made me ill – you better watch it!”; while pointing at the sugary junk they are waving in front of you. IMHO, you get used to it and it makes it easier to be a low carber for life.

Honestly, if I tell people I'm doing Atkin's they go nuts. If I play the D card and say I'm diabetic everything is cool. People are always offering sugar poison and want a reason why you won't accept it. Most people are so clueless about diabetes, it scares them, and they go away! A neat trick.

I loved the part about how does it feel to be an outsider because you’re obese? Valerie, however, came up with excellent points - like the fact that, as she worded it, there's a "whole science" behind the Atkins diet. Of course the interviewer carefully avoided elaborating on that excellent observation. By Golly, it might turn out there's hardly any credible science behind Weight Watchers, although it was already abundantly clear that the WW-starvation plan completely failed the other lady repeatedly. We can't have that, now can we! But nevertheless, finally something positive on TV!

The questions of the interviewer were rather stupid, I my opinion, like “what does it feel like” and “why is it so hard” and more of that stuff.
