Half a gram of trans-fat or less? I seriously doubt it’s only half a gram. Ever “dissected” one of these things? It’s literally dripping with fat. Not that this would be a problem, if it wasn’t bloody soybean oil (the worst “recommendation” these health “experts” could possibly make!) and hydrogenated soybean oil at that! They actually “improved” on this nutritional nightmare oil by hydrogenating it! Sigh.
Not to mention the breading, which is saturated with trans-fats, and adding gobs of unnecessary, empty carbs as well.
They could easily change it, of course, by using lard (as they used to do in the old days, before fat phobia hypnotized half the Western world) for frying and a egg/cassave protein mixture for the breading. But that never occurred to the “experts”.
The best thing still is to steer clear of this junk. Because that’s what it is, junk, plain and simple.

Correct me if I’m totally wrong here, but didn’t McDonalds try to at one point use non-hydrogenated oils for their french fries only to quickly give it up because the fries no longer tasted like their famous fries? Doesn’t seem to matter, does it? Once people get a taste, it’s so hard to forget how delicious this poison is… Adam
