In Episode 733 of “The Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Show with Jimmy Moore,” it’s a show like none we’ve ever done before as I welcome in a Paleo podcast super fan named Michele Speidel. How many of you would consider yourself a podcast junkies? You know who you are. Whenever you’re in your car, working out at the gym, traveling with the family or some other activity where there’s some free listening time, you choose to load up your smartphone or MP3 player with a bunch of podcasts. They’re a quick and convenient way to pass the time, be entertained and hopefully learn something new. When it comes to health podcasts, there’s certainly a lot to choose from these days. And since we first debuted on iTunes way back in October 2006 as one of only a handful out there sharing this kind of alternation nutrition message, it has grown to in excess of 80+ brand new health podcasts devoted to Paleo, primal, low-carb, real food eating alone in recent years! Needless to say, the impact that is having on the collective health of all those listeners tuning in each week is immeasurable. But people are indeed listening like our interview guest today, Michele Speidel from the “Paleochel” blog.
Michele is a long-time listener to “The Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Show” and has enjoyed many of the new podcasters who have come on the scene in recent years. With several hours of commuting time traveling around the nightmare traffic that is the mainstay around the Washington, DC corridor, she passes the time listening to health podcasts to learn more about this subject of nutrition as it relates to her own health. Michele has always loved this topic since she was regularly reading Prevention magazine back in the 1980’s as a kid. Of course, her nutritional philosophy has shifted greatly from those popularized low-fat, high-fiber articles she learned from during the days of Reagan to the healthy real foods-based low-carb/Paleo lifestyle that she enjoys today. Listen in as me and Michele talk openly about her own weight struggles, how she has continually pursued finding the answers about her health despite not seeing the success she wants, and a delightful trek down the amazing list of health podcasters who have influenced her the most.
Here are Michele’s favorite health podcasts she mentioned today:

It’s a loaded week of podcasting for you coming up next week!
We’ll hit on a BIGGIE topic this Thursday night beginning at 7PM ET for Episode 48 of “Ask The Low-Carb Experts” when we take on the issue of “All Things Intermittent Fasting (IF 101).” Just mention the word “fasting” to the man on the street and the reaction you’ll get from most of them would probably fall somewhere between completely scoffing at the idea to the sheer terror at the realization of going without food for more than a few hours. This concept of fasting even on an intermittent basis, as has become popularized in the Paleo community in recent years, is certainly a highly controversial and misunderstood strategy that could very well be the last piece of the puzzle in optimizing your weight and health issues. Nutritional habits expert James Clear (listen to my “Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Show” podcast with him in Episode 705) will be here to take YOUR questions on this critical subject. Here’s your chance to speak directly with the expert to ask YOUR questions. Start getting me your questions on this topic NOW by e-mailing them to AskTheLowCarbExperts@gmail.com no later than 3PM ET this Thursday. You can also ask your question LIVE on my show by calling (712) 432-0900 or Skype the show for FREE by calling the username freeconferencing.7124320900. Whether you call or Skype, be sure to use the access code 848908. Listen LIVE and leave us a review at iTunes if you like what you hear.
