In Episode 590 of “The Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Show with Jimmy Moore,” we’re so pleased to welcome the infectious personality of naturopathic physician Dr. Dae Jones! Known by her patients as “Dr. Dae” (pronounced DAY), she is an enthusiastic voice of reason when it comes to the proper role of nutrition on your health.

Trained in naturopathic medicine at the University of Bridgeport’s College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2002, Dr. Dae is abundantly aware that the human body is not a machine that responds well to things like prescription drugs and weird science experiments with our food supply. Zeroing in on real, whole foods that will nourish your body and make it run optimally healthy is the premise of everything she does.

In 2003 she founded the Healthy Daes Naturopathic Medical Center in Silver Spring, Maryland and is teaching her patients a new way to look at living healthy! She is also the author of a healthy eating cookbook entitled Daelicious! Recipes for Vibrant Living.   • Keeping fresh herbs in your kitchen window is easy to do
  • Going to a farm to meet a cow is a great family trip
  • This is a great way to show kids where their food comes from
  • The color and taste of local free-range eggs is far superior
  • People have been given the wrong information about eggs
  • Local farm eggs have more of the good fats your body needs
  • High triglycerides are a precursor to diabetes and heart disease
  • Whole grains were added to our diet “late in the game”
  • Grains have come into “a very prominent role” in the last century
  • You don’t need 6-12 servings of grains in your daily diet
  • Whole grains take 50 minutes to prepare; protein cook faster
  • Why she loves bread but doesn’t keep it in her house
