It’s been a fun week to kick off the new year so far because we’re rip-roaring ready to welcome in all kinds of new people who are interested in turning over a new leaf by getting serious about their weight and health perhaps for the first time in their entire lives. I was one of those people just eight years ago and we welcome anyone and everyone into the fray with open arms. Now that you’ve arrived, stick around a while and enjoy the education, encouragement and inspiration that the healthy low-carb lifestyle brings you.
“Encore Week” 2012 is rolling right along with some truly incredible brand new interviews featuring the best guests from 2011. You’ve heard from Swedish LCHF physician Dr. Andreas Eenfeldt and Perfect Health Diet author Paul Jaminet the past couple of days with Dr. William Davis and Dr. Jack Kruse coming later this week. In Episode 527 of “The Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Show with Jimmy Moore,” we welcome to this special week of podcasts the one, the only Jenny Ruhl from the “Blood Sugar 101″ web site, author of Blood Sugar 101: What They Don’t Tell You About Diabetes to discuss further the need for people to take blood sugar control much more seriously than they do. Ruhl supports the use of carbohydrate-restriction as a means for obtaining optimal blood sugar readings, especially for diabetics, and believes blood sugar control is much more important than wondering what your insulin level is. One of the most fascinating parts of Jimmy’s original July 2011 interview with her in Episode 486 was how she spoke so matter-of-factly regarding a wide variety of issues in the low-carb community that had your eyebrows doing jumping jacks. Expect more of the same in this follow-up interview from one of the best of the best interview guests of 2011, including her intriguing answers to listener questions.
