Today we hit a momentous and major milestone in the history of the low-carb/Paleo movement by celebrating Episode 500 of “The Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Show with Jimmy Moore.” I never could have imagined when my producer Kevin Kennedy-Spaien at Disc of Light Media approached me in October 2006 about starting this podcast (I barely even knew what a podcast was at the time!) that we’d ever make it to FIVE-HUNDRED EPISODES! WOW! It’s been an unbelievable journey along the way for me since I’d never done any talk broadcasting before (I did do contemporary Christian music radio back in the 1990′s, but never interviewed anyone previously). And yet I had a passion to get the message out even if I wasn’t equipped to do it when I started. That has taught me that ANYONE can do ANYTHING if they have enough passion and enthusiasm to make it happen. That’s exactly what has happened with this quaint little podcast in just five years.
To mark this special moment in my podcast, I decided to contact back 40 previous interview guests to offer up a message about their experience being on the show and the way it has impacted them personally and professionally as well as the legacy the show is having on the culture of health. Here’s a sequential listing of the people featured in Episode 500 with a link to their web site as well as to the specific interview(s) of their appearance on “The Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Show”:

Coming up next week, we’re back at it again with four more fantastic interviews to share with you. On Monday, we’ve got a fun cooking guy named Chef Todd Mohr who says he can help teach anyone how to cook without recipes. And he’s very pro low-carb in the way he cooks nutritionally. Then we’ll hear from Amy Kubal from the “Fuel as Rx” blog who is a registered dietitian and athlete committed to the low-carb Paleo message. She’s using her platform to share the truth with as many people as she can and you’ll hear from her on Monday. Then on Thursday, we’ll have a juicing expert who supports low-carb nutrition named Cherie Calbom as well as an evolutionary bariatrics psychologist named Dr. Vivian Shelton explains how hearkening back to the diet of our Paleolithic ancestors will help resolve the obesity epidemic. Let’s get started on the next 500 episodes of “The Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Show.”
