In Episode 1231 of “The Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Show with Jimmy Moore,” we bring you an interview with ISSA Certified Personal Trainer, Specialist in Fitness Nutrition, and one of the founders of Ketogains Tyler Cartwright as our interview guest featured today. Tyler Cartwright has a fascination with learning, reading, and self-improvement as a person.  With a personal library of well over 2000 books on myriad topics, some might call it a bit of an obsession.  A decade ago, with his weight at a hulking 505 lbs, his doctor told him, “All-in-all you’re as healthy as a horse, but you’re also as big as one.  I’m not going to test your blood for what I know we will find because I think you can fix this with diet and exercise.”  Upon hearing that, and after receiving a letter written to him by his mother, he embarked on a journey to leverage that knowledge along with some passing experience and knowledge of a ketogenic diet to improve what was sure to be a food-shortened life.  Along the way, in addition to resolving Type II diabetes (Tyler had himself checked out privately after his report from his doctor!), he has lost nearly 290 lbs without the aid of surgery or medication.  His wife has lost over 125 lbs as well.

Listen in today as Jimmy talks with Tyler about his personal journey to health and Tyler’s focus on empowering others to gain both physical and mental strength. Tyler has helped to develop the Ketogains approach to life – using a ketogenic diet and exercise as the basis of developing endurance for sustained change by improving physical strength and dietary adherence.
