Kevin Lee Moore–August 22, 1967-October 16, 2008
Our loving son, brother, and friend went home to be with the Lord at 4:30am today. THANK YOU for your prayers for Kevin and my family over this past week and for the weeks, months, and years you have been a part of my life. He passed away peacefully in his sleep in the early hours this morning and he seemed to have a good time visiting with all of us on the final day of his life. I’ll never forget that big grin on his face as we shared memories and funny moments throughout the day yesterday. My dad was with Kevin when he took his final breath and we were all there at the hospital bed within a few minutes. It was very difficult on all of us as my mom, sister Beverly, dad and Kevin’s girlfriend Mary were openly sobbing uncontrollably in the hours after we all let what happened sink in. By the grace of God, I was able to keep it together fairly well and perhaps it will take some time to sink in fully. Eventually we had to say goodbye to Kevin’s body and have the assurance that we will see him again someday in heaven. For now, we’re gonna get some rest and plan for a special memorial service for Kevin on Friday. On behalf of my entire family, THANKS again for all your wonderfully kind comments and sincere concern.
