I liked reading your blog and listening to the doctors’ view. I think low carb is a lifestyle, not just a diet. It is interesting how everyone is “sold” on the effectiveness and healthiness of the low fat lifestyle, and there are no long term studies of it.

I’m hitting this point about “no long-term low-fat diet studies” in my new book.

Maybe we could hire the Good Year Blimp pulling a big aerial sign saying — Atkins! Oprah! Atkins! Oprah! Atkins! Oprah! Oprah! Oprah! Atkins! Atkins! Hi Jimmy,
I really like the new site-it’s a great idea. I thot the Atlanta doctor did a very good job of explaining the diabetic process.
I’m gonna mention it to a friend at church. I gave her Dr. Bernstein’s book, but she later mentioned that she doesn’t enjoy reading!

Since a long term study scientifically validating the low-carb approach is unlikely, one way to change things is to get high-profile, influential people (like Oprah Winfrey) to adopt the low-carb approach and succeed.

The PR value from this would exceed anything else that can be done in the short-term.

Well, Tom, we’re getting close to Oprah doing a show on low-carb. Make your voice heard!
