You could be righter than you know.  Stress kills the capillaries and small vessels feeding the heart, and stress puts the adrenal glands into overdrive which distracts them from producing cardiotonics.  Between one and the other it is thought that the heart experiences something like what makes your muscles burn when you overexercise--only the heart can&#039;t stop to rest or you&#039;d die. I read that article and went O_O! *jawdrop* because, as they put it, we experience artery-hardening and arterial narrowing all over our bodies!
