Julian Bakery Smart Carb Bread Low-Carb Recipe Contest

Can you come up with a low-carb recipe using this low-carb bread?

Last month I introduced you to the Julian Bakery Smart Carb bread that is high-protein, high-fiber, and, of course, low in carbohydrates. I absolutely LOVE this bread because it’s a rare breed–delicious AND nutritious. Unfortunately, not all low-carb breads are that great, but this one is indeed the real deal. With such a high-quality low-carb bread like this, the possibilities about how to incorporate it into your own daily low-carb menus is endless. Because of that, I wanted to give you a chance to stir up those creative cranium juices and get ’em flowing thinking about some low-carb recipes you can use them in. That’s right, listen up all you low-carb cooks out there–I’ve got a contest designed JUST FOR YOU! It’s a recipe-making contest with the Julian Bakery Smart Carb Bread and this is gonna be a blast!

Here’s how it will work:

1. Order some Julian Bakery Smart Carb Bread.
2. Play around in the kitchen and come up with your best low-carb recipe using it.
3. Keep the recipe to less than 12g net carbs per serving.
4. Take a photo of it and submit the recipe and instructions to livinlowcarbman@charter.net.
5. Judging will be based on taste, creative use of the bread, and aesthetics.

    Kamut, spelt and wheat gluten – not something I will be adding to my diet as I am gluten sensitive. I have found I feel better and get better blood sugar control if I stay away from all grains.

    Definitely people with Celiac disease shouldn’t eat this bread, but it’s a good alternative for low-carbers.

    This bread deserves a lot positive comments. Here’s mine:

    This bread is so good! I immediately prepared two of my favorite dishes (which I won’t describe until the contest is over) and loved them. This is real bread that says ” Net 1 Carb ” – a dream come true. It tastes as good as any high-end high-carb bread.

    Hi Jimmy! Thanks for the review of the J bread. I recieved 2 loaves yesterday evening and it’s a dream come true! I just ate my b-fast of “cereal” (last night I oven toasted a buttered and diced slice of the cin/raisin loaf for 20 mins at 250) It looked like tiny shredded wheat squares. The texture was perfect for cereal, crunchy first then chewy even down to the last bit but the taste was a little too much like toast. Next time I’ll omit the butter & try a little coconut oil, sweetner & cinnamon. It’s very filling and with a half cup of CC milk a super low carb HEALTHY b-fast!…LOVED IT!!!

    i just got this bread, the smart carb bread, and think it is amazingly great. i love it, yet i am hearing a number of comments about the questions re: the net carbs. i now think it best you guys get a factual , absolute reading on the exact net carbs of this bread, as i am sure you sell a ton of it.even my husband loved the bite he took of mine, but he is thin, and needs high carb bread…plus, i save mine for me!!love it…so great to have bread, finally, after eatting low carb hi protein for years. thanks for making this..
