But thinking about it there is no way they would get it right, and would end up taxing fat instead.

True true – my bad. Adding a gas tax now is a great idea. To get people off their sugar addiction, you would be in favor of taxing sugared products, right? Same thing goes here, because as a nation we are addicted to oil, and we need to get off of it fast. Prices aren't really going up b/c of the Israel-Palestine conflict, they're going up because we hit the bottom on limiting our usage back when it was $4/gallon, and now that we are using gas a bit more, prices are inching up. Check out what is happening in Venezuela now ... now that oil prices are falling, the dictator there is losing his grip on things and starting to negotiate with western oil companies. See link.
<i>THANKS Matt! I realize basic economics and that prices fluctuate for a variety of reasons and when demand is down, supply goes up--which then leads to LOWER prices. That's what happened to gas. Interesting news about Venezuela. As for taxing sugar and sugary products, I'm NOT in favor of this just because it is something I oppose. This will then give the government free license to find something else they dislike and taxing it, too. Once they have a taste of this kind of morality taxation power, there's no stopping them!

About the Wii, you should look into getting a Fit for it. I got one for my birthday last week. The hoola hoop is great. If you're gonna exercise, why not have some fun doing it?

The article about bigger butts was interesting.

About the Wii, you should look into getting a Fit for it. That bit about big butts was absolutely hilarious. I was LOL and had to tell my dh "sorry - you'll probably get diabetes but my big hiney is going to spare me ;)" All those years of him being skinny and I finally have one up on him. Thanks for the laugh!

Jimmy,

That bit about big butts was absolutely hilarious.
