It Fuh-ri-day (yes, you must say it in three syllables!) again and time yet again for “Fun Filled Friday” here at the “Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb” blog. I love letting loose a little bit in this special post each week to share all sorts of information that interests me that may or may not be related to diet, health, and fitness. So, without further delay, let’s just hop right into this week’s posts shall we?
I remember those days when I worked in an office with a bunch of other folks and those all-too-familiar “refrigerator notes” that would be placed in very precarious places. See if some of these look familiar:

Any message that starts off “Dear Sinner” will NEVER be good! Another tell-tale sign that things are turning ugly is when curse words are used on the note like this one:

Now that’s just too funny! Some short but sweet messages just speak for themselves:

HA! What’s hilarious is that REALLY happens just about everywhere yo go. She didn’t need all those carbs in that cupcake anyway. LOL! But there are some creative ways to get back at these stealing co-workers…but even those can backfire as you’ll see below:

Oh my! Finally, when all else fails, you can get all Biblical on the crooks:

“This shall not be tolerated,” thus saith the Lord! Oh, I don’t even miss those days of being cooped up in an office building all day anymore. NO THANK YOU!
Wanna see something cool? Click here to go to a “Text-to-Speech” demo page where you can get a computerized human with all sorts of accents and ethnicities to say whatever you type in the text box. I typed in “Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb” to see how it would sound. The Simon (UK) one was my favorite! What’s YOURS?
One thing I especially LOVE is unique and hilarious marketing that presents an outstanding message. And Rusty Coco from Jason’s Deli has done just that with his decision to remove high-fructose corn syrup (HFCS) from the foods he sells in his restaurants. This is FABULOUS!
You go Rusty! Great stuff! I’ve never had foie gras personally, but apparently the geese are usually mistreated in the process. But chef Dan Barber found a small Spanish farm that raises geese in a natural environment. This is incredible!
That’s fantastic! Something that’s not so fantastic is this horrifically shocking video out of China where a fish is literally kept alive during the deep frying cooking process to be served on a plate to restaurant customers. Unbelievable!
And what is the purpose in the fish still being alive? WOW! Man oh man. Well, on a positive note regarding food, Thanksgiving is coming next Thursday and have you seen the Turbaconducken? It’s a four-layered process of a chicken stuffed in duck stuffed in a turkey — all wrapped in bacon! My mouth is watering just thinking about this low-carb delight! Check it out!
Ohhhhh, a livin’ la vida low-carb Thanksgiving feast like no other! Mmm mmm! And if you want some fabulous stuffing with your turkey next week, be sure to order some of that fabulous Purity Bread from Julian Bakery I told you about earlier this week. Here’s a really cute video from one of my YouTube video viewers who was so excited to get these breads for herself that she couldn’t wait to share!
That’s about it for this week’s “Fun-Filled Friday.” In case you missed it, my brand new book 21 Life Lessons From Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb: How The Healthy Low-Carb Lifestyle Changed Everything I Thought I Knew released on Amazon this week and I am thrilled to get the positive message of healthy low-carb living out there to the masses of people who desperately need to hear the truth about it. Help me spread the word by getting a copy for yourself, sharing a review of the book on your blog and/or Amazon, and encouraging people who are concerned about their health to get it. I’ve jammed a ton of research, studies, and practical information into this nearly 500-page book that took me most of the year to write. Let me know what you think!
Send me your “Fun-Filled Friday” stuff anytime to livinlowcarbman@charter.net.
