Fun day, fun way, to have your say about all that’s fun today–hey, hey, hey…it’s gotta be another “Fun-Filled Friday” baby! You know it and it’s here with a bang again this week as we celebrate all the fun, funny, and downright interesting stuff that’s come across my desk over the past week. And we’re locked and loaded today with some really cool stuff, so how about we get started shall we? We shall indeed.
One of my favorite people in the world of health and nutrition is my brother-from-another-mother buddy and friend Sean Croxton from “Underground Wellness.” The man is a one-man machine with a mission to spread the word about what healthy living is all about and this week he posted an emotional and very open video about living out the passions in your life with all the ups and downs that it brings. Watching this video (he has HAIR!), Sean doesn’t hold back sharing from his own personal experience about how this applies to what he does and the frustration he feels with providing quality information about health for very little financial return. This resonated with me since I have had some of these same thoughts pop in my head from time to time as well.

Sean really lays it all out there, doesn’t he? I could have certainly made this exact same video for myself because I occasionally get frustrated that I don’t monetize my blog and podcast to the maximum…and I certainly could by accepting any and all offers that come my way for sponsors or by charging to access my content. But it’s not all about the money for me and I take on a “pay it forward” approach to what I do. I do what I do because I love it, believe strongly in the message I promote, and sincerely appreciate all the people who have been positively impacted by my work. If it was only about how many dollars I got in return for it, then I probably would have quit a long time ago. But I’m still here over five years later and counting! Sure, it’s nice to have a sponsor come on board and receive donations here and there from those generous listeners who find value in and support what I do so I can keep doing it. However, paying my bills and taking care of Christine is of the utmost importance to me and I am grateful for the privilege I have each and every single day to do this. One of Sean’s fans saw his video from Monday and decided to respond with a powerful video of her own.

WOW, what a touching tribute to the outstanding work that Sean does and I’m sure this made his day! This next thing will make the day of anyone who considers themselves “older” than the rest of us. It’s hilariously funny because you know it’s true. My Aunt Thelma sent this to me, so enjoy!
HOW TO CALL THE POLICE WHEN YOU’RE OLD AND DON’T MOVE FAST ANYMORE
George Phillips, an elderly man, from Meridian, Mississippi, was going up to bed, when his wife told him that he’d left the light on in the garden shed, which she could see from the bedroom window. George opened the back door to go turn off the light, but saw that there were people in the shed stealing things.
He phoned the police, who asked “Is someone in your house?” He replied “No, but some people are breaking into my garden shed and stealing from me.” Then the police dispatcher said “All patrols are busy. You should lock your doors and an officer will be along when one is available.” George said, “Okay.”
He hung up the phone and counted to 30. Then he phoned the police again. He said, “Hello, I just called you a few seconds ago because there were people stealing things from my shed. Well, you don’t have to worry about them now because I just shot and killed them both, the dogs are eating them right now.” And then he immediately hung up the phone.
Within five minutes, six police cars, a SWAT team, a helicopter, two fire trucks, a paramedic, and an ambulance showed up at the Phillips’ residence and caught the burglars red-handed. One of the policemen said to George, “I thought you said that you’d shot them!” George answered back, “I thought you said there was nobody available!”
The moral of this story: Don’t mess with old people!
HA! I LOVE that story and we all know people in our lives who would pull something like what George did. Innovative and, in the end, effective. Hee hee! Something that’s not-so-funny if you’re this Utah couple is the following video footage she took of a buffalo at Yellowstone National Park this week that ended up charging right at them with the camera rolling.

WHOA! Can you imagine how our hunter-gatherer forefathers dealt with trying to kill these wild animals for food? OMG, there had to be more than a few injuries and deaths at the hands of these savage beasts. But you can’t beat a good bison burger man! SO worth it! Something else worth it is all the efforts to find a cure for cancer. A Canadian scientist has found and inexpensive way to do just that, but guess who’s standing in their way–BIG PHARMA! Surprise, surprise!

It’s disgusting that financial gain has to be the FIRST consideration in bringing drugs like this to the market. Just last week I featured a series of videos from Dr. Eugene Fine on the subject of cancer. One of my readers named Hans Keer who has a fabulous blog called “Cut The Carb” pointed out a brilliant 3 1/2 minute video that provides in a nutshell how cancer happens and what to do about it nutritionally to combat it. ENJOY!

That’s the hypothesis that Dr. Fine is examining right now and I’m so glad Hans did this video because it clearly explains how livin’ la vida low-carb works to help with cancer. Something I don’t think Hans or anyone can explain is the “Khordadian Persian Dance 2″ video you are about to see. There just aren’t words to describe this…er, uh, well here it is.

Don’t ask! WOW! No words…speaks all for itself. And finally today I have the “World’s Shortest Horror Film” that was actually a short film project from 1969 by a student named Marv Newland entitled “Bambi vs. Godzilla.” Watch carefully for the “scary” part.

Of course, there have been some copycats in the past few years to recreate this classic student film for a modern audience…this is pretty good!
