I wish I could meet Dr. Vernon. She has changed my life. I happened upon an article on Mens Health online about her and her Type 2 treatment with low carb. I read everything I could find about her and the lifestyle, which I call it, because it is and has been for almost 3 years. I've lost 65 lbs, been off my meds for over 2 years, and all of my readings at 4 health risk appraisals have been ideal. My wife and I started a website celebrating the low carb lifestyle with recipes and tips and my daily blog. Jimmy, I love all you do for us, so, please, keep it up!
<i>I'm not going anywhere, Brian! :) You can meet Dr. Mary C. Vernon on our low-carb cruise in March if you'd still like to come. We'd LOVE to have you! E-mail me for details if you want to come.

A self-paced, consumer version of the course (w/ more lively interaction to replace the instructors) for $100 would be a winner!
<i>Perhaps...certainly it would be more economical. But I am working with them on a consumer version of this same course, Jake. :) This one is for medical professionals.

That's a powerhouse faculty alright. I'm just not sure how many people, physicians or otherwise, can afford the $2,500 for the 14-part series.
-Steve
<i>THANKS Steve! I spoke with them about that and they said the CME accreditation was what those costs primarily go towards. The lay person who reads my blog who would not need the CME credits will get a discounted rate. I've also talked to them about creating a consumer version of these modules for better understanding. Perhaps making it available for purchase afterwards is another idea I proposed. THANKS for your input!
