Dear Jimmy,
I've periodically followed your blogs for some time, and wish you continued success.
I thought this information may be valuable to your readers. I've lost 90 pounds, but had plateaus in recent years, and am still 30 pounds from goal. I used a site called Fit Click to monitor intake, and wanted to warn your readers (who are new to low carb) NOT to take their 'recommended goals' as gospel! When I plugged in that I hoped to lose thirty pounds, then chose 'high protein, low carboyhdrate,' they produced a 'target' recommending 130 grams of carbs per day!
My best
Elizabeth
THANKS Elizabeth! :)

Hi.
I've returned to low carb eating for weight loss and general health reasons. However, I have a newly discovered problem with digesting grains including wheat. And, soy is also a problem.
So far, I have been able to moderately use that excellent pasta from Dreamfields and some low-carb tortillas. However, I'm looking for low carb products that are either no or minimal grain based but can be used to replace typical bread products. I'm even considering experimenting making sweet potato and fiber lefse. Is a good tasting low carb no grain muffin even possible? I know this is a puzzler but I was hoping you might be able to help.
Thank you for a great site. I'm working my way through the interviews and enjoying them as well.
Ciao,
Rusty
THANKS so much for writing, Rusty! You might check out Linda's bread recipes to find something that might work, but it is somewhat of a challenge. I wish you well in your low-carb, gluten-free journey.

I am new at low carbing, very excited about it. I have lost 10 pounds so far. Started for "real" instead of experimenting after Thanksgiving. In your latest pod cast miracle noodles were mentioned. I googled it and found that they are only fiber. Fiber is good for you---I just am hesitant to eat anything that doesn't have any other nutritional value. Could you tell me more about what you think of them and if they are good during induction. How would you prepare them? People mentioned a fishy taste was this your experience?
Thank you so much for your podcasts, youtube videos and book. Although I don't have as much weight to lose I started low carbing at 183 I am inspired by all of the wonderful information.
THANKS so much for writing Allison and I'm happy you found low-carb. I blogged about shiritaki noodles several years ago and shared my impressions of them in this blog post. Hope this helps!

Lawash Low Carb Wraps.
I just deep fried these as chips. AWESOME with truvia and cinnamon. UNBELIEVABLE. 4 grams net for like 16+ decent chips. Completely satisfying. I will make chimmichangas (jimmichangas?) tomorrow night.
I am still amazed that in the disappearance of low-carb from the general retail market that low carb tortillas are still very prevalent and in fact i find new brands several times a year.
Any explanations for that? Weird.
Thanks Jimmy. Keep up the good work.
Kent
THANKS Kent! Sure, there's an explanation for it...food marketers and manufacturers are IDIOTS! Keep up the great work on your healthy low-carb lifestyle.

Hey Jimmy, Hi again.. Thanks for the last response. You are absolutely right, I'm now eating at least 60% fat and what a change =)
Im trying to go paleo (cooked paleo though) eliminating 1 thing at the time (well haven't ate sugar, grains or legumes for a long while) and this week is Dairy.... WOW i didn't feel this bad since i eliminated caffeine o_O
Have u ever heard of dairy adiction? and its withdrawal? Im asking cause you are so involved and you may have heard it from some researcher, doctor or people commenting.
THANKS Mary! Yes, dairy can be addictive because it still has carbohydrates in it. Especially milk which with its lactose is virtually sugar-filled even though it is promoted as "healthy." KEEP IT UP!!!

Jimmy:
I really enjoy your information about low carb. I am prediabetic and it is the only answer for to prevent the disease...
The information you have on the clinic run by Dr Dawn Hunter is just the beginning of a year long of business theft. It actually started a year ago with Dr. Allen Johnson.. one of his other web sites of his http://www.gotnd.com ... another is http://www.advancehcg.com . There is a police report for him in Seattle for selling stolen medical equipmen on Craigslistt. Dr. Allen J Johnson and Aaron Ludtke were the previous owners of www.hcg-seattle.com ..I think it was under the name
Lux spa... If you go to google and search Aaron Ludtke prepare for information that is shocking.
Again thank you for your web site...
Lynn
Thanks for the added info.
