Sounds like Dana Carpenter, Bowden and Jan McCracken sold out in favor of $ instead of standing up for their principles. I won't be buying any of their books in the future. If authors start to deviate from the true low-carb WOE, they will be misleading the public...not "serving the larger community".

Jimmy: I had the same thought when I read Dana's article. And it's not only books....food manufacturers are also distancing themselves from the words "low carb" which makes it harder to find products to offer our customers. Case in point...CarbSense is now Eat Well Be Well.

It's never easy going against the grain and I think that there are more people out there low carbing than the statistics show because they are keeping quiet about it. Our store sees many new customers every day who low carb.

How sad is that...we're all healthier than ever and we have to hide under a bushel because of how we eat. My only hope is that someday, we will be the majority and low fat will be the minority.

Marilyn
Low Carb Central

Sadly, most "healthy carb" recipes are far too high in carbs for me. At about 60g a day, wheat flour, brown rice, and other so-called "healthy" carbs are out for me.
