NOTICE OF DISCLOSURE: http://cmp.ly/3

Ever since I first started podcasting in May 2006 beginning as a collaborator on the now-defunct “Health Hacks Podcast,” followed by the October 2006 debut of “The Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Show with Jimmy Moore” (which now features 500+ episodes in the archives), and in 2011 the creation of “Low-Carb Conversations with Jimmy Moore & Friends” with my co-host Mindy Noxon Iannotti along with lots of contributions from my friends from the low-carb community, I’ve had two deep desires that have not been met with my existing podcasts: focusing in on a specific health topic in each episode and a LIVE listener call-in show. People have e-mailed me quite often over the years asking me to interview experts in my Rolodex who could address specific subjects they want to hear more about in the realm of health. Unfortunately, although we do hit on a lot of specific health topics in the interviews featured on “The Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Show,” sticking to a single health issue is not really the format that I’ve set up there. The other thing that I’ve seen is people want to ask THEIR questions to the experts directly since I don’t always ask them in my pre-recorded LLVLC Show interviews. What better way to do this than to zero in on the hottest health topics featuring a qualified expert guest addressing that issue to the low-carb community in a LIVE format with the birth of a BRAND NEW PODCAST beginning in 2012 called “Ask The Low-Carb Experts” (use the hashtag #ATLCX on Twitter). WE ARE NOW LIVE!

In Episode 1 of “Jimmy Moore Presents: Ask The Low-Carb Experts,” we kicked off this exciting new podcast with a topic of interest that never seems to wane no matter how much it is talked about–”Weight Loss Obstacles.” And who better to address this sensitive but important subject than a registered nurse who was privileged to serve alongside the late, great Dr. Robert C. Atkins in his complementary medicine practice in New York City for nearly three decades named Jackie Eberstein from “Controlled Carbohydrate Nutrition.” She co-wrote Atkins Diabetes Revolution with low-carb practitioner Dr. Mary Vernon and is arguably the world’s foremost authority and expert on the Atkins diet having seen tens of thousands of patients dealing with a whole myriad of metabolic challenges. Jackie is still so incredibly passionate about spreading the message of healthy low-carb living to the masses because she has seen first-hand just how profound the Atkins diet has been on the weight and health of the patients who have been on it. That’s why I am always thrilled to have her join us as a featured annual guest speaker on The Low-Carb Cruise. She really gets into the nitty gritty of what could be preventing weight loss from happening in people who are frustrated by stalls or even weight gain while on a low-carb diet. From nutrition to medications to hormones, this topic is thoroughly discussed featuring e-mailed questions as well as LIVE callers who participated in EPISODE 1 on January 12, 2012.
