Got a little love, a little humor, a little promo, and a little oddball to share!
I’ve had some really interesting stuff happening lately with my blog, health success, upcoming new book, and those ever-present naysayers. It’s all a part of putting yourself out there on the Internet and I’m grateful for it all no matter what it is. Just to have the chance to get a positive message out there is why I remain so driven to do everything that I do. I consider it a privilege and an honor to do what I do.
A couple of years ago I was contacted by an author named Nancy Kennedy who was writing a book about weight loss success stories. She had an idea for a book detailing how people were able to lose weight and keep it off and wanted to include my Atkins/low-carb success in the book. Well, she had to play the games that publishers like to play with authors and the original offer to publish never panned out. But now she found one and is sharing snippets about the people who will be included in her upcoming book at her new “Thirty Ways” blog which keeps with the theme that there are many plans for people to try and need to find the one that will work for them.
Nancy did a tease blog post about reviewing my low-carb weight loss success story with a post entitled “Politics, religion and the Atkins diet” late last week and today published this fantastic column on me and my low-carb mission. I revealed some things in that interview that I’ve never shared anywhere else, so be sure to check it out!
Next up is a featuroo on Tom Naughton’s FAT HEAD blog about my LDL particle size, HDL cholesterol, triglycerides, and CT heart scan that came back with a total calcified plaque score of ZERO. It’s a very entertaining and informative read called “Jimmy and MONICA: A Tale From the Heart” that I’d love for you to check out. Tom is a very funny writer as a stand-up comic who created the #1 low-carb documentary DVD of 2009 called FAT HEAD. I look forward to meeting him in a couple of weeks when I visit his new hometown of Nashville, Tennessee and then again on The 3rd Annual Low-Carb Cruise to the Bahamas in March 2010.
If you wanna hear more of my story and about my upcoming new book 21 Life Lessons From Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb: How The Healthy Low-Carb Lifestyle Changed Everything I Thought I Knew, I have the privilege of being on two Internet radio shows over the next couple of weeks. The first one is tonight at 8PM ET on Sean Croxton’s “Underground Wellness” show on Blog Talk Radio. I recently featured Sean on my podcast show and he wanted to return the favor to discuss my new book. Then on September 30, 2009 at 1PM ET, I’ll be on Nora Gedgaudas’ “Primal Body – Primal Mind” Radio show sharing how eating low-carb changed my life. Nora will be a guest on my podcast show on October 8, 2009 to talk about her new book Primal Body-Primal Mind: Empower Your Total Health the Way Evolution Intended (…And Didn’t). I can’t wait to share more about healthy low-carb living on these popular radio shows!
Finally, last but certainly not least, I couldn’t resist sharing with you a new blog by a blogger named LuLu who recently started up the “Fat N’ Stupid” blog. As of the writing of this blog post, Lulu has a grand total of THREE blog posts and two of them referenced me (Good Calories Bad Calories author Gary Taubes and Melting Mama’s Beth Badore were also targets of her rants). You’ll just have to read “The Voice Of Jimmy Moore” and “Trifecta” to fully appreciate this blogger for all she’s worth. Be prepared to laugh your head off! I did.
I’ve been super-duper busy as of late finishing up the final touches on my manuscript for my new book. It’s off to the publisher now and hopefully will be available for purchase at Amazon and elsewhere within the next month or so. The goal is to have the book and e-book ready to purchase by November at the latest. You can pre-order your copy now and I’ll send you an autographed book as soon as it is available. Click below to order with FREE shipping and a complimentary e-book copy of my first book Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb: My Journey From Flabby Fat To Sensationally Skinny In One Year:
I’ll have a big low-carb news and health headlines post coming soon with some really fascinating things going on in the world of livin’ la vida low-carb! THANK YOU for so much for reading and supporting the work I am doing to push healthy low-carbing!
