  1. Hi there, enjoying your blog…love the podcasts….I have read the book, Good Calories Bad Calories (actually I trudged through half of it..stopped and trudged some more) I thought I heard on one of your podcasts someone mention that there is a chapter by chapter synopsis of the book posted by a reader…Is this true, and if it is could you point me in the right direction? I would like to get the Cliff notes on this book…Thanks,
    Kris Garling

  2. I believe you are looking for this link at my forum from my moderator there named Charles. I wouldn’t necessarily call it a “Cliff Notes” version of Good Calories, Bad Calories but it is a well-written synopsis in language you can understand. ENJOY, Kris!

  3. Please send me a Low carb diet idea

How about Atkins, Protein Power, South Beach, or The Zone? Take your pick. :)

  4. Jimmy, I found your website today. Congratulations on your great accomplishment of losing such a large amount of food and using your talents to help others succeed on low-carb. I have been a low-carber for many years and have maintained a 50 pound weight loss for a few years.

I clicked on your daily menus and weigh-ins. I was pretty surprised to see all the “low-carb treats” & cheese, etc, you eat each day but I don’t see a lot of vegetables at your meals. In my experience, but I found I could not maintain my losses when I ate the low carb “sweets” and low carb chocolates. Today I eat a lot of vegetables each day and my weight losses are stable. I’m listening to your podcast with Dr. Berkley as I write this and just heard you say that you are switching to “whole foods” and staying away from the “products”. I hope you find this way of eating helpful to you. You probably know that you’ll experience some withdrawals from those foods but I think you’ll feel a lot better in the long run. Good luck and thanks for a great site.

THANKS Barbara. It’s always a work in progress. CONGRATS on your success!

  5. Dear Jimmy,

So glad to find your site — WOW! A quick question. I know this is a matter of opinion as much as anything, but where might you point me for a lively support website for low-carbing. Here’s the thing: I know this is the way for my body to eat and have great success with Atkins. In the past, though, I was part of an Atkins website that is now all but dormant and Kimkins which is way too wacky. Any suggestions? I don’t have much time on the computer every day, but enough to post once or twice, support others, etc.
    Best — Helen

Hey Helen! By “support” I’m assuming you mean a discussion forum where you can set up a personal journal, talk about your low-carb questions, and be encouraged by others who have been through what you are going through. If that’s what you’re looking for then head over to my “Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Discussion Forum” and get started. We’d love to have you! THANKS for your comment!
