It’s that time again for me and Christine to get away for a few days for some much-needed rest and relaxation. It’s been quite the year for us and we’ve been looking forward to this week of vacation for a while. Christine’s 39th birthday is this Friday, November 11, 2011 (11-11-11) and she asked specifically if we could get away…and so we are. I’ve been joking her that she’s almost “old” now and that usually gets me the look. I’m turning 40 next month when I’ll officially be old. Naaaahh, I’m just getting started baby!
I actually got a pretty cool early birthday present mysef when I discovered this Wikipedia page about my work promoting low-carb diets. It’s an honor to be recognized like this and I’m grateful for the chance to live up to that expectation level. THANK YOU to all of you my readers for helping me make “Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb” possible! I’m having the time of my life sharing with you about healthy low-carb living and don’t have any plans of giving it up anytime soon. I guess you’re stuck with me for a while longer.
Earlier this week I shared about a 4-disc DVD set of lectures from the 2011 Wise Traditions UK Conference and a special giveaway contest for three lucky readers. To be eligible to win, all you had to do was leave a comment. Here are my three winners–Daytona, Ginger and Kim Gundry Christman! CONGRATULATIONS and you’ll be hearing from Philip Ridley about how to redeem your prize. THANK YOU for reading!
Didn’t win that contest? That’s okay! I’ve got another one to announce to you today featuring the low-carb chocolate chips available from CarbSmart.com called Nevada Manna Sugar Free Chocolate Chips. With the holiday baking season coming up, what a great way to have a nice sweet treat without all the sugar. These coveted sugar-free chocolate chips have been out of stock for a while, but now they’re back! And two lucky readers will receive 6 FREE BAGS of these chocolate chips just in time for Thanksgiving and Christmas. All you gotta do is take a look at the blogs listed below and share in the comments section who your favorite one was. There are a lot to choose from, so make your way through the list carefully this next week. When I return back from vacation on Monday, November 14, 2011, I’ll pick the two winners. GOOD LUCK!
Believe it or not, there are so many brand new Paleo, low-carb and health blogs coming out it’s almost impossible for me to keep up with them all! But I’m doing my best to highlight as many as I find out there in the blogiverse…they never seem to be in short supply. There are no repeats from previous listings in the 70 blogs I’m presenting to you today in this post–these are all newly-featured here at “Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb.” And I can’t help but smile at the way this community has grown over the past few years. Please visit as many of these blogs as you can, leave them a comment, write them an e-mail, and bookmark their page if you liked what you saw. Here’s a list of all my previous blog listings–check ‘em out here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here and here.

I’ll be gone all next week, so this should keep you busy for a long while. If you or someone you know has a low-carb, Paleo or health blog or web site that you’d like to see featured in a future blog post here at “Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb,” then I’d love to know about it. E-mail me the name of the blog and the URL to livinlowcarbman@charter.net so I can add it to my next big blog update. If you’ve been successful in your weight and health by eating a healthy high-fat, moderate protein, low-carb diet, then you should DEFINITELY consider starting your own low-carb blog to pass the message on to a world desperate for answers. THANKS so much for reading!
