Whew! It’s done…finally! For the past four days, I’ve been counting, tabulating, recording, scrolling, and compiling all the many hundreds of my recording-breaking entries into The 5-Year Blogiversary Giveaway Contest I’ve been holding in celebration of this commemorative anniversary of the birth of the “Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb” blog. I’ve done this every single year since 2005, but the participation skyrocketed from the highest number of entries I’ve ever had–DOUBLE what I had in 2009! HOLY COW!
With my wife Christine out of town, I’ve been doing all of this by myself which I’m certainly not complaining about. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for all of your wonderful answers to my survey questions and I’ll be tabulating all the results of that survey to share in a brand new survey of your fellow “Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb” readers. When I did this as part of the 2009 Blogiversary, the results were stunning. And this year I’ve got a few shockers in store for you that I think will reveal some rather incredible trends in the low-carb community that you just won’t hear about in the mainstream media. But it’s there and I can’t wait to share it with you!
Entries this year came in from nearly all 50 states in the U.S. as well six provinces in Canada and eight foreign countries including South Africa, New Zealand, Sweden, Australia, Germany, Israel, Ireland, and the UK! I was surprised by this response since I usually don’t have this kind of participation overseas, but I’m grateful for my readers all around the world. I’ll be sharing more statistics of the state that garnered the most entries (it’s probably not the one you think!) in that follow-up post coming soon, but I know why you’re here right now–YOU WANNA KNOW WHO WON THE PRIZES!!! Yes, I know and I’m getting to that.
