5-Year Blogiversary Giveaway Contest Prize Package Post #2

We’re still rockin’ and rollin’ with entries into my 5-Year Blogiversary Giveaway Contest and I’m excited by all the enthusiastic responses I’ve received from quite literally all around the world. The reach of this little blog simply amazes me sometimes, but I credit the faithfulness of my wonderful readers for making the message of healthy low-carb living march on strong in 2010. Thank you for all you are doing to promote the positive benefits of carbohydrate-restriction to a world that so desperately needs to hear it!

If you haven’t entered my 5-Year Blogiversary contest yet, then you still have time! In case you missed it, the Grand Prize is one of those nifty water oven cookers called the SousVide Supreme plus the brand new SousVide Supreme Cookbook that was donated by the amazing Drs. Mike & Mary Dan Eades. But there are PLENTY more prizes you will hear about in the coming days, including Prize Package Post #1. Don’t forget, you need to e-mail me your answers to the following information if you would like to win a prize in my 5-Year Blogiversary Giveaway. Be sure to put in the subject line “BLOGIVERSARY CONTEST”:

Send your responses to livinlowcarbman@charter.net with the subject line “BLOGIVERSARY CONTEST” no later than 11:59PM ET on Friday, April 30, 2010 and the winners will be picked in a random drawing this weekend and then announced at my blog on Tuesday, May 4, 2010. Please only one entry per household to make it fair for everyone to win a prize. The contest this year is attracting a much larger international audience than ever before and that is pretty neat. Regardless of where you live, send in your entry and YOU could have a chance to win one of a whole bunch of nice low-carb prizes. Maybe you can win one of these:

Complimentary admission to exciting low-carb science lecture series July-August 2010

If you haven’t already heard about Innovative Metabolic Solutions (IMS) before, then you need to put it on your radar screen. The brainchild of Dr. Mary C. Vernon, Dr. Eric Westman, and Gary Taubes, IMS is making great strides impacting the world of medicine with the science behind low-carb diets. They opened their first clinic and have launched their first set of educational modules for physicians wanting to learn more about how and why low-carb nutrition works with patients this Spring (which I’ve had the privilege of sitting in on). Additionally, all three IMS contributors have been asked to come to Washington, DC to present their findings to some potential research projects that are underway. Exciting stuff! Beginning on July 8, 2010 and running through August 19, 2010, there will be a special 7-week Summer Module Series featuring brand new lectures from low-carb experts Dr. Westman, Dr. Vernon, Dr. William Davis, Dr. Jeff Volek, Dr. Tracey Green, Gary, and Dr. Andreas Eenfeldt. ONE LUCKY READER will be able to attend all seven lectures at no charge. WOO HOO!

A set of goodies from Josef Brandenburg, including two CDs of his interview with Gary Taubes on weight loss, saturated fat, cholesterol, and cardiovascular disease, his latest book The Body You Want From A to Z, and his Client Success Manual

Low-carb fitness expert Josef Brandenburg is on a one-man mission to get the message out about how truly remarkable low-carb living can be and shows his clients in the Washington, DC area how it can work in their lives every single day. He’s passionate about spreading the TRUTH about the healthy low-carb lifestyle and bucking the trend that you see from most fitness gurus for people to load up on carbs before their workouts. Josef says that’s so ridiculous and he shares why all the time at his fabulous low-carb blog that is a must-read for low-carbers. FIVE LUCKY READERS will receive an autographed copy of his new book The Body You Want From A to Z – Real World Strategies To Get The Body You Want in the Time You Actually Have plus a special two-CD interview he did with Gary Taubes, as well as his popular Client Success Manual with all of Josef’s secrets to getting “The Body You Want.” This is one very cool prize package!

An autographed copy of Tom Naughton’s hit 2009 documentary Fat Head

It’s amazing how quickly people can burst on to the scene and make their presence known in a big way. Although nobody within the Paleo/low-carb community had ever heard of stand-up comedian and independent filmmaker Tom Naughton just two years ago, I’d venture to say that most of them know exactly who he is now! As the hilarious creator, director, and star of the raucously funny documentary film FAT HEAD exposing the myths about fat, cholesterol, and heart health while taking a jab at Morgan Spurlock’s claims in his film Super Size Me (see clips of this awesome movie here, here, and here), Naughton has firmly established himself as someone who understands the way you penetrate the culture with the undeniable truths of science is by presenting them in a highly entertaining yet accurate way that forces you to pay attention and learn something. It’s “edu-tainment” at its best and I believe the perfect template for changing the way people think about nutrition and health. If the overwhelming response I saw to this film on the 2010 Low-Carb Cruise in March was any indication of how most people react after watching this documentary, then I’d say mission accomplished. THREE LUCKY READERS will receive an autographed copy of the FAT HEAD DVD. Tom said no French fries or soda will come with it though!

Damage Control Master Formula, Vital Omegas and Primal Blueprint book

Grok on, baby! One of the most influential Paleo/low-carb bloggers around today is arguably none other than my friend Mark Sisson from the outstandingly informative blog Mark’s Daily Apple. The information this world class athlete provides to his massive readership each and every day is life-changing if people are willing to just try it and implement it into their own lives. I’m privileged to know and talk to Mark on a regular basis and greatly admire the superb work he is doing to share the truth about healthy living with the masses. I like his “primal” concept and that he isn’t so rigged in his plan that he doesn’t allow for some customizations of his program–something a lot of people in the diet and fitness world would be wise to mimic. ONE LUCKY READER will receive a gift package that includes Mark’s bestselling Primal Blueprint book plus the supplements Damage Control Master Formula and Vital Omegas to complement your low-carb nutrition. And be sure to PRE-ORDER your copy of Mark’s upcoming July 15, 2010 release of his highly-anticipated follow-up book The Primal Blueprint Cookbook: Primal, Low Carb, Paleo, Grain-Free, Dairy-Free and Gluten-Free with Jennifer Meier that will set your Paleo/low-carb menus ablaze with some tasty recipes to keep you happy and satisfied.

$50 gift certificate for your choice of Yes! To Cookies products

Finally, we’ve got a really nice prize package for you featuring some outstanding ready-to-eat sugar-free, gluten-free, starch-free, low-carb cookies from a company called Yes! To Cookies. You may recall my wife Christine and I did a fun YouTube video review (I wore a mask as President Barack Obama, so you gotta see this!) of the product late last year and these cookies really are a fantastic alternative to the high-sugar, high-carb cookies that congregate most grocery store shelves nowadays. And the best part of all is they actually look and taste like real cookies and not cardboard like many low-carb cookie products do. Watch this video story of Yes! To Cookies featuring the inventor of the product, David Fulton, sharing why he decided to make this product. I think you’ll enjoy this inspiring testimony of someone who’s life was overcome thanks to health Paleo/low-carb living. THREE LUCKY READERS will get a gift certificate to receive $50 worth of their favorite flavors, including Cocoa-Licious and Strawberry-Banana. You can even become a Cookie Club Member and receive a fresh, new batch of Yes! To Cookies delivered to your each month with a special discount if you like these low-carb cookies. Find a store near you that carries the Yes! To Cookies products by clicking here and say NO to the blood sugar spikes of your old cookies and say YES to cookies done right!
