40 New Paleo, Low-Carb & Health Blogs For March 2013

A funny thing happened on the way to the “Become Superhuman” LIVE event in Spokane, Washington this weekend–I missed my flight. When I arrived at my small local airport in Greenville/Spartanburg, South Carolina at 5:30am to check in for my United flight leaving out at 6:00am, I was informed I would not be allowed to check in because I didn’t get there in time. Now mind you, in this airport you can go from the ticket agent through TSA security and to your gate in less than 10 minutes. And yet they wouldn’t let me check in because I missed their cutoff time. Oh well, lesson learned.

My flight was rescheduled for Friday morning and you better believe I’m checking in online so this fiasco doesn’t happen again tomorrow. A $75 rescheduling fee and 24 hours later, all will be well with my trip out west. I look forward to meeting those of you in the Pacific Northwest who will be attending Ben Greenfield’s two-day conference on Friday and Saturday. My flight arrives at 1:00PM and I hope to be at the conference by 2:00PM. The lecture I am giving on my 10-month nutritional ketosis update is set for Saturday afternoon. I look forward to sharing some amazing updates to my ongoing NK story!

As you know, I’ve been hard at work on my new book helping the lay public understand what their cholesterol test results mean. While I am certainly no expert on this subject, I do have a few friends in the medical, nutrition and research realm who do. I’ve logged nearly three dozen interviews with the world’s top lipid experts for my book Cholesterol Clarity: What The HDL Is Wrong With My Numbers? that I’m co-authoring with a practitioner and researcher named Dr. Eric Westman. I’d love to have YOU involved in this book project if you’d be willing to share your cholesterol information. I’m looking for men who have a total cholesterol of 220 or less and women with a total cholesterol of 250 or less who were told by their doctor that they have hypercholesterolemia (“high” cholesterol) and need to eat a low-fat diet and/or go on a statin drug. E-mail me at livinlowcarbman@charter.net if you want to participate. I’ll be in touch!

My tradition of sharing some amazing new Paleo, low-carb and health blogs continues today with 40 more for you to check out and enjoy. If you like what you see at any of these blogs, then don’t hesitate to leave them a comment on their blog, write an e-mail to the blog author and bookmark their blog to visit again soon. E-mail me the name of the blog and the URL to livinlowcarbman@charter.net so I can add it to my next big blog update. If you’ve been successful in your weight and health goals by eating a healthy Paleo or low-carb diet, then you should DEFINITELY consider blogging–the more voices we have out there talking about this stuff, the better! I’ll keep writing on my cholesterol book and look forward to having it come out in August 2013. I look forward to seeing you at one of the upcoming conferences like PaleoFX, the Low-Carb Cruise and the Ancestral Health Symposium in the coming months. Be well!
