40 Paleo, Low-Carb Diet & Health Blogs For You While I’m In Baltimore

I’m going away this weekend to Baltimore, Maryland for a big nerdy science conference about low-carb nutrition presented by the Nutrition & Metabolism Society. Hanging out with the low-carb researchers, physicians, and nutritionists who are pushing the science supporting carbohydrate-restricted diets is always cool for me. Here I am just some dude with a blog getting to listen in on lectures and the interaction between real doctors–it’s quite a privilege and an honor to be able to report on what’s happening. And I’ll be doing LIVE reporting from the event with a whole slate of Twitter and Facebook updates during the conference on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. Fan me or friend me ASAP so you can see these updates (of course, you can also follow my tweets along the right-hand side of my blog as well). I did this in Seattle last year at this same conference and it was well-received by my social networking peeps. I’ll likely use the hashtag #NMS so you know I’m reporting on what is being said. I’m bringing both my iPhone and iPad with me to cover this event thoroughly (hope they have a strong Wi-Fi connection in the hotel conference room!).

I’ll enjoy hanging out with the low-carb superstars on Saturday night which is always fun dinner conversation between people like Dr. Mary Vernon and Dr. Richard Feinman who talk about ketosis, fatty acids, metabolic syndrome…they live and breathe this stuff man! I happily sit there as a fly on the wall soaking in the experience and enjoying every minute of it. After the conference ends around noon on Sunday afternoon, our flight doesn’t leave until 7:45PM. So we’ve got about a dozen enthusiastic low-carbers joining us at a Brazilian BBQ restaurant for a meetup in Baltimore. We’d still love to have you if you want to join me and Christine, Dana Carpender, and Dr. Andreas Eenfeldt for an early dinner at 3:30PM. It’s gonna be a fast weekend away–and I can’t wait to be in Baltimore! WOO HOO!

As you know when I go away I try to give you enough stuff to keep you occupied while I’m gone and the best way to do that is to feature some really neat blogs that I’ve come across in the health blogosphere. They may not all be your cup of tea, but I think they warrant your attention to see if they add value to your pursuit of healthy living. I’ve done this for years now and it’s always a pleasure to highlight the great work others are doing for the cause. If you’ve missed any of my other low-carb, Paleo and health blog listings over the past few years, check ‘em out by clicking here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, and here.
