Dr. John Salerno is back to tell us about his low-carb “Silver Cloud Diet” plan

People who have read Dr. Atkins’ New Diet Revolution know that he advocated something called a “fat fast” for people with especially high levels of insulin and a resistance to weight loss. He said consuming a very high-fat, very low-carb, calorie-controlled diet for a few days may be what is necessary to get the ball rolling and many people who have gotten stuck on their low-carb lifestyle have tried this a time or two. But what about a longer-term “fat fast” lasting upwards of one month to maximize fat loss in a very short period of time? Will it work? Today’s podcast interview guest certainly thinks so and he’s here to tell us all about it.

In Episode 313 of “The Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Show with Jimmy Moore,” we are happy to welcome back to the show Dr. John Salerno, author of a brand new e-book called The Silver Cloud Diet. As he shared during our November 2008 interview, this idea of an extended “fat fast” using primarily organic foods is not such an outrageous idea for people who have not been as successful following Atkins Induction or other low-carb plans. He believes this is the key component that Dr. Atkins completely missed in his series of books.
