Nora Gedgaudas is modernizing the traditional primal diet of our ancestors
It seems like we’re hearing a lot more about the original diet of our early ancestors using names like paleolithic, primal, caveman, and other such terminology to describe this way of eating. I don’t know if people are just so fed up with the standard American diet and the failure of the low-fat diet that they’re going back to what has worked historically to produce weight loss and greatly improved health or what. But it’s refreshing to see this movement happening within the health culture and today we have one of the rising up-and-coming voices in this conversation.
In Episode 295 of “The Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Show with Jimmy Moore,” we hear from author and holistic nutritionist Nora Gedgaudas, author of Primal Body-Primal Mind. I was privileged to be a guest on Nora’s “Primal Body-Primal Mind Radio Show” last week, but now it’s time for you to learn more about her. Her PrimalBody-PrimalMind.com web site is chock full of outstanding information for anyone desiring to eat the kind of high-fat, moderate-protein, low-carb diet that the cavemen thrived on centuries ago. Listen to Nora discuss discuss the negative aspects of soy protein, why eating trans fat is a lot worse than people even realize, the difference between her diet and the ones Loren Cordain and Mark Sisson have written about, staying fit through andropause and menopause, the keys to and definition of longevity, the common nutritional mistakes people make, and so much more! This was probably one of the most informative podcasts I’ve done this year, so avail yourself of the opportunity to learn from this amazing woman.

Coming up next week, the entire week will be dedicated to a 90-minute interview I conducted with dietitian and bestselling author Diane Kress about her new book entitled The Metabolism Miracle. I have a few concerns about this new “low-carb” diet plan, but I think overall it can be beneficial to people who have the “Metabolism B” that she describes in her book. Read my critical review as well Kress’ terse response to it prior to listening to this special two-part interview next week! It was a very enjoyable interview even though we slightly disagreed at times. That’s coming up for you next week on “The Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Show with Jimmy Moore.”
