‘Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Show’ Episode 282: Dr. Deborah Snyder Promotes High-Fat, Ketogenic Diet For Epilepsy

Dr. Deborah Snyder speaks out on the ketogenic diet for epileptic seizures

Whether the media and the so-called health “experts” will ever give it a fair shake, the low-carb ketogenic diet is about so much more than simple weight loss. In fact, a lot of the latest medical literature is now looking at the tremendous health benefits of eating this way. One of the most cutting-edge uses of a ketogenic diet in the research world is for seizure control in children with epilepsy. Today’s podcast interview guest is a professionally trained family doctor who discovered the ketogenic cure for her son’s seizures.

In Episode 282 of “The Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Show with Jimmy Moore,” we hear from Dr. Deborah Snyder, author of Keto Kid: Helping Your Child Succeed on the Ketogenic Diet. After watching her son Bryce experience some rather severe seizures, she realized that a high-fat, adequate protein, low-carb diet was going to give him a chance to reduce his seizures. With a success rate of two out of every three people who try it, why wouldn’t someone wanting to control seizures in their epileptic child try this nutritional answer to the problem? Hear this inspiring story from Dr. Snyder about how ketone bodies are much healthier than they have been portrayed. It most certainly saved her son Bryce and now she’s on a mission to share what she has learned with the world. ENJOY!

    Interesting.

I don’t see why the quantities of food need to be so measured.
I would imagine any decent low-carb diet should work.

this is just an amazing story, in a podcast line up full of amazing stories!

in her speech posted, she gets so emotional at the end, it drove home to me the fact that doctors are people too. they are sometimes misguided and wrong, but human nontheless, just like us. thanks JM :)
