<i>Nah! You were just anxious to get your message out there. THANKS Dana!

Considering all the harassment and condemnation of LGBT folks that occurs at the hands of so-called Christians, I'm sure you might have an inkling of an idea as to why they would object to what amounts to neighborhood harassment. It'd be like the Klan marching through a majority-black neighborhood. And before you condemn me for hyperbole, may I remind you that it states in the Bible that gay people are to be executed. (More accurately, gay people who have gay sex. But still. By stoning, I might add, and the same people who follow that book as scripture then condemn conservative Muslim nations for actually carrying out that dictate. Odd.)
I understand you're a Christian and passionate about your faith, I really do. But I have zero respect for anyone incapable of putting themselves into the shoes of a person different from themselves, of showing a little empathy for others. I hope you are not one of those people, Jimmy.
Because you're absolutely right--we have the right to religious FREEDOM in this country, Jimmy, including the right to choose a faith different than that of people who openly violate Christ's teaching to go into their closets and pray rather than stand on the street corner being vain. Do I need to go find the book, chapter, and verse on that one or do you already know what I'm talking about?
This world would be a lot better place to live if people learned the difference between God's commandments and human failings, and lived accordingly.
<i>THANKS Dana! But this Bible study meeting in San Diego had nothing to do with gay people at all, so I hope you click on the link. It's not a video, but a news story, so I sincerely hope you check it out. They were being told they couldn't meet together to pray, praise God and do all the things that are protected by the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution and that's wrong. Again, this has nothing to do with discrimination against homosexuals which is obviously wrong. Yes, the sin of homosexuality is wrong, but the people who are engaged in it are worthy of the same love and compassion that Jesus Christ Himself gave to us when He died on the cross. That's what God intends people who call on Him to do and I try to live my life according to that. Again, I appreciate you sharing your perspective.
