Listening right now, I have my own thoughts about salt.
My father is on drugs for high blood pressure. When I first went low carb, I found out that the drugs he was taking were diuretics; designed to flush out extra water. That's exactly what my new diet was doing... keeping my body from retaining extra water. So, you have extra water in your system, the salt dissolves in it and your circulatory pressure goes up. But what if I don't have that extra water in my body? Wouldn't that affect how much salt could be dissolved and how high my blood pressure would go???
In short, if my father is taking diuretics for high blood pressure, and my diet does it naturally, why should I really fear salt like the plague? Not scientific at all, but something I was pondering.
